Sadly, I will not be able to make it on Sunday. I have to work. But I will be there in spirit.

Sandra, I will call tomorrow noonish.

Sandra, what about making arrangements for AAFO's to meet up somewhere in Reno after the memorial services. The Imperial Bar on Arlington downtown would be my first choice. Has a hanger feel with cool rafters and brick...they have good appetizers, flat screens etc. We could sign in and create a data base of AAFO members living in Reno. We may need to mobilize this chapter for a PR campaign down the road to make a case for keeping the air races alive.

Sounds good to me. I think after the service we'll need each others company. How's parking at the Imperial?

I also agree that we're likely to be needed to help RARA keep the races alive.

It will be Sunday night. Should be street parking near. Street Vibration crowd should be on their way out of Dodge. Maybe not wear an air racing hat at the memorial but certainly would be a way to identify each other at the Imperial.

You could wear an event hat TO the memorial, then take it off when you arrive or when appropriate. The races are no pariah..at least not yet, and hopefully never.

Likewise, the wee wifey and I will be at both. We're looking forward to meeting the Flightline crew.

                            How about it, Bigger Al?
