With twenty-two days to go until the first day of qualifying it seems there is way more than a usual little (OR BIG?) unknowns that we are all talking about in the Unlimited Class ranks...
1) Will Czech Mate be ready and what new things will we see?
2) The Voodoo camp has been a little quiet. They've been ready since their last Sunday at Stead, but you'd think some new little things must have been added or subtracted. Has anyone seen them flying in August?
3) Does Dan Martin have a ride or a back-up ride at least?
3) What new colors will we see on Furias? On Precious Metal? On September Fury's wings? On Czech Mate?
4) What new things will be seen or not seen to make Strega even faster?
5) It has been asked elsewhere, and a few speculated answers have come, but will Miss America make it? How about the F2G race #74?
6) The Steadfast, Sawbones, Merlin's Magic. and Galloping Ghost teams have all been a bit quiet as well. Any surprises in store?
7) Mr. Dawson has been very busy with Rare Bear, but did Spirit of Texas ever get back in the air over the off-season? Are we past the entry deadline if so? Would be nice to see one or two guys I can think of in her seat.
8) for 2012... Has any work been done on the American Spirit custom racer/record setter? Did Greenamyer sell Shockwave yet? These two are on my wish-list for next year along with Dago Red, a new Miss Merced owner/racing team, and the return of race #57.
