  • 2011 Paine Field GA Day

Went out to Paine Field in Everett, WA today for General Aviation Day. There were several Warbirds on display, and some flew. The FHC was scheduled to fly their Hurricane and P-40. The P-40 didn't roll out, but their Storch did. John Penny was in the Storch, but after run-up he taxied back in. Evidently some problem. Bud Granley flew the wings off the Hurricane. He looked like he was in Miss America again! They were giving any kids between 3 and 17 free rides in the participating GA planes. My nephews' two boys were there and one of them got up into the cockpit of the B-25 'Grumpy' that was there to sell rides later in the day. All in all, a nice little air fair. As you can see by the pictures, the sky was gray which made pictures a challenge, but nice anyway.

    Enjoy!
