If I ever go to the UK, the Mach Loop will be the first place I stop.

Do you have any shots of King Air's flying through the loop? That'd be a bit more appropriate these days......

Thanks! I can see why all those photogs camp up there.....
I love the howling sound the eurofighters make as they approach the photographers on the mountain.

Kinda like camping along SR 410 going into Mt. Rainer National Park and watching the Intruders practice low level flying in the canyons.

Definitely wasn't me....way too high through there!

The Mach Loop is a great place to fly, as well as watch. The folks that go out there every day to spot and take photos are a great group as well...I keep in contact with several of them still, even though I'm obviously no longer flying through there.

My recommendation for folks who want to go visit is to go to Cad Pass West, which is where that particular video linked in this thread was shot. The photos from other locations, like Bwlch and Corris Corner are certainly stunning, but to just stand there and watch iron go whizzing by, Cad West is my preference.

          Oh, and Speedy:

Has there ever been a P-3 zipping thru Mach Loop? And if so any pictures? Thanks, Dave

I think the Dutch are the only ones in the area that fly the Skypig. I can't see the US command signing off on flying a 'training route' like that. Maybe the Canadians taking an Aurora through, but....

Not a P-3 Orion, but perhaps a C-130 Hercules will suffice?
