    LOL, that's good.

          Spirit of Texas crew Chief

Stu Dawson is the backup pilot on the "Bear" this year. They flew it today and are getting it tuned in.

              Now that's funny Ghostrider.

While they were his chosen few, none were "paid" and all were dismissed by the owner without Mr. Cornell being consulted.

              The rest is close though.

SORRY GUYS. EVERY TIME I SAW SOMEONE GETTING IN OR OUT OF THE BEAR, IT WAS STU DAWSON.
AT ANY RATE, I HAVE NEVER HEARD THE ENGINE IN THE BEAR RUN CLEANER OR SMOOTHER.
GOOD LUCK BOYS. MERLINS ARE COMMING, AND IT'S 3 ON 1.

The NiCd batteries that the Bear has are worth about $10k each, and they have two (one onboard and one spare). Add the rest to this, and it sounds like "professional air racing" is just the ultimate expression of "mine's bigger".
