Reno Weather??

The Reno Weather Forecast looks pretty good this year.. Any locals want to comment on what you see/have seen versus what the NWS is thinking this year?

Hi Wayne this evening i went to the rib cook off the band Asia played a free concert there and it was about in the 80 today yesterday was about the same dont know about the rest of the week. shawn

I am not a fan of TWC/Weather.com as they are always off unless you live in a place east of the Rockies. Reno especially since it has some real microclimate areas. I generally use the NWS: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...&FcstType=text They have been pretty accurate this year and so far it has been pretty cool and dry and looks to stay that way as far as I can see into race week except for this Wed. night/Thurs.

temps going to dip early this week then get hot again. will have to check my ski buddies who have the weather models refined as much as anyone. I'll get back to you.

Pretty much what we have been seeing. A few days it goes up into the low 90's and then dips into the 70's. Nothing really extreme either way, but it was VERY windy last weekend and down into the high 60's. Kind of a roller coaster. If this all holds it will be pretty nice with a variety of weather.

Ditto! It's the only place I've ever travelled to where I pack a parka and Speedo! Ooooo, bad visual, huh? All I need to complete that look is a pair of black socks and Wing-Tips.

Today...9/8....was cool....65-ish between Reno & parts east/west 10miles.....Donner @ 46 Obscured w/ light misty rain.Clouds, broken, all the way in between....wind gusty approx 15-25..decreasing afternoon. Visability great out of clouds...forecast high 66 9/9....winds decreasing ( sure)...warming towards Friday 9/10. I'm thinkin' race motors LOVE cool air.

IMHO....looks like the week before tha' RACES!!!!!!! Always rains!

just parked the trailer in town for a few days, weather is great! little cloudy, but temp is nice.

I've seen it go from snow to heat in 15 minutes in September. Ahhhh, fall in Reno!
The forcast is for a combination of 70's and 80's, it's a little cold at night in the 40's and 50's.
Tonight, Thursday, it actually smells like snow but is too warm.
I have been sweating working in the yard, the clouds roll in, the temp drops 30 degrees and it rains like the devil. An hour later I am back out in the yard sweating, so...
