  • Have the sport rules changed?

Pardon me if I'm late on this but I noticed that the GP-5 is entered. I thought it's a one off design. Am I right? Are they allowing 1 offs now? I hope so, cause that's gonna get really good!!

As of last year, the Super Sport group does not need to meet the five kit minimum. One-off's are OK. Fuel choices and CID limits are larger.

    From the 2010 Rules:
    2. Super Sport aircraft shall be any kit or amateur built aircraft that is certificated by the FAA and has completed a phase 1 flight test. Aircraft are to be powered by an internal combustion engine or engines totaling no more than 1000 cu in. and capable of a 300 MPH minimum qualification lap speed.
