That's a great video SF! Nice editing as well. I love vids that show both the takeoff AND landing. And thanks for letting us hear the natural sounds and not putting some ridiculous music over it.

How long has the boil off trail been exiting the tailcone?

Can you tell I'm observant... I've been following the plane forever and never noticed that steam plume. HA!

Last year. The airplane never had a boil off until then.

Got the opportunity to climb home pylon. Did ya all notice in Jarrods post that Section 3 is going to be represented in the Jet Class this year?

Nice vid, thanks. Is it normal for the clamshells to stay open prior to gear retraction? I thought they closed at startup and and opened when the retraction sequence started.

                        Regards

The inboard gear doors stay open on the Bearcat when the gear is down.

                            Nice video Jason!

How much water does Bear carry for boil off? At race temps, will it last for the full race? Wouldn't the additional weight offset any aerodynamic gains?

Dang it Jim, I'm a meteorologist, not an aerodynamicist!

There is enough in there for a full race and then some.

The weight gain is offset by the weight loss from the system they replaced.
