Watsonville Airshow?

Just curious......why was Watsonville moved from Memorial Day weekend event to Sept? Wonder why it was changed after all those years?

I don't know their reasons, but I can recall several years where low overcast/coastal fog resulted in delayed or cancelled flights and made the event less pleasant than it could have been.

Perhaps there's a better chance of clear, sunny weather in Sept?

The weather is better in September for sure. I live about 2mile from KWVI.

I believe that must be it. I did a little googling this morning and ran across this:

"REMINDER: Due to low ceilings and visibility from the Watsonville Fly-in 2009 the Watsonville Airshow committee has moved the airshow to September 3 - 5, 2010. "

Yes that is the reason they moved the date.
