Im going to the memorial as long as work allows. I am either taking my grumman 2 seat or bellanca viking or c210 depending on who needs a ride. ill be going over elp, phx, mit. just help with gas and you got a ride.just let me know.

Phillip -- Would you be interested in picking me up in Death Valley, California? It has a little airport that is 100 feet below sea level. It's about 150 miles Northwest of Lost Wages, and just a couple of flying hours (or less) from Bakersfield. It's supposed to be quite a beautiful place to fly into...

How long are you planning to be in Shafter/Bakersfield?

Don't know absolutely for sure yet, but we may just have a plan, Phillip. I'll buy some extra gas, to make up for flying in down there. You planning on a motel?

F1 69.I live in St.George,Ut probably to far out of the way. I suggest you give Randy Goss a buzz & maybe we can all sleep in the hanger & "Tigers" is right there also. Sleeping bags/tents whatever. Randys cell # is 530-908-6461. Keep us posted.

I'm driving from Seattle on Thurs or Fri. May have one passenger, but have room for another 2. Would leave early Sun for return trip N.

Philip -- The latest here is that it looks like I will not be able to go the Memorial service after all. I'm committed to photographing a geology project in the Park.

I will just have to be there in spirit, I guess.

Hope you manage to find somebody to share expenses...

I'm considering going, but I'm just starting to put my feelers out to see if this is something I can do. I live in Tucson, AZ. PHX would not be difficult for me to get to. How much gas money are we talking about?

im pretty easy on this just help out,the bigger the plane we take the more i need help,if you go then im taking the viking or cirrus. prob like 150
