Lookee what I found

I was cleaning out my hanger desk and came across something you might like to see..... These are shots of John Parkers JP-350 first engine runs at Torrance Ca in 1988?. I had a hangar down the way, so naturally I grabbed my camera when I saw the plane getting tied down to the truck. Lots of smiles out of John!

Interesting. Was there some design change between that shot and the final version? The rear Fuselage looks to be completely closed on in that shot. I thought it would have been a little more open since the turtle deck was installed on top of that structure. Also, it looks like there are canopy rollers down the sides of the cockpit. Did the canopy on the final version roll forward, or was it hinged? Are there any three views floating around? I have been kicking around an R/C model of that for a while and those pics have me motivated again.

I'm glad you like the shots. I have quite a few more from that session, plus others from the first flight in Chino. I'll find them and post a few more a bit later.

I found a couple more photos, this time from the first flight at Chino. I have quite a few more to scan, but my scanner just started smoking! Time for a new one I guess.

Full span ailerons or flaperons? Is it just me or does it look a little like an NXT 20 years ahead of it's time?

I was able to put the smoke back in the scanner, so here are some more photos.

Exactly what I was thinking! Looks like it's got a pretty narrow wingspan.
