  • T-6'ing for Christmas

This morning, my dad and I went flying for my Christmas present. We did this early, as he will be out of town flying on Christmas and I work that morning! :/

We were in Kokomo at the crack of dawn to go fly, and the Checkertail was pulled out into the 17 degree air for our morning flight. Needless to say, we had to wait a good while for it to warm up. Here's some pics from sitting on the ramp.

    Taking 23 for Take off.

    Climb out.

Once we were in the air, dad flew for a bit so I could snap some pics...

We then went and did a pretty intense set of accelerated stall practice. But that is hard for him to take pictures of. So we proceed to the next part of the in-flight entertainment...

    Overhead break...

I also did 3 full stop TOL's for to get profecient. Dad took this neat angle on one of my takeoff's, he's got an eye for the cool stuff!

I finished off with a no-flap landing, hence the long flat approach...

    Hope you enjoyed the pics!

From the Carroll family to you, Merry Christmas.

      Merry Christmas Trey and family

      Thanks for the pictures.

What airfield is that? Doesn't look familiar.

Speaking of Kokomo... They put on a neat little airshow back on Independence Day. It rained throughout the show, but the sights and sounds still had everybody's fireworks beat.

Trey's pictures are a little more impressive than mine, and I'm envious
