I assume you are talking about the Zodiac that went in? The FAA has stepped in on that one and basically grounded the lot of them until some major changes are made to the structures. The spar is WEAK, and there is a problem with aileron flutter. There have been 10+ in the last year or two that have broken up in flight.

I lost a friend in one the first inflight breakups of that plane.........they were just turning downwind when the wing failed and folded back. Killed two........what a waste it was. Usually as pilots we can armchair an accident and usually place blame on poor judgement or some other reason.......in this case, they didn't do anything wrong........which made it just that much harder to take.
