This shot was taken at the East end of the field on 09/09/09. After cresting the hill on 395 from the North, i had to go to the fence (at the west end of runway 8) binoculars in hand, first thing i spotted was yellow prop tips spinning thru the heat haze from well over 2 miles away, has to be the Bear, jumped in the van, and putted impatiently thru Silver Knolls, at 25mph, knowing i'd miss a take-off, by the time i got to the cave, she was already cooling off, it was nearly dark, so i snapped a few at these weathered beast's, had to put an aeroplane in front of that sky......
