Nope. Works for me, and the gold racers are coming down the 'chute as I type this. You may be listening to the dead air as they taxi out to the runway, or while they are lining up behind the crowds as they head for the start. These announcer guys don't talk much during that time.

The hum is from the PA system.

VOODOO has pulled off the course, light smoke reported in the cockpit (no biggie). Penney moves into second.
