        Way cool pictures. But wouldn't have been easier to just fly her there? Sure looked like she would at least qualify for a ferry permit. How complicated could a Connie be to fly anyway?

            The airplane was very far from being able to be made airworthy. Really neat how they have made it look so good.

              Thanks for the link; I have a friend from England who is driving a classic British car (Triumph Stag) about 14000 miles across (well, actually up and down a couple of times and across) North America on a PTSD charity drive. He encountered the convoy during his travels (Minnesota I think) - now I can send him the whole story.
