If you go to Airrace.org there is a link that says live audio on the left side of the page under 2009 races

Re: Can you listen to the air races on line?

I just tuned in, and instead of race talk or commentary on a performance, I get a scratchy, distorted version of "More than a Feeling" by Boston.

I guess this is music being played during an airshow act (B-Angels I think), but what good does that do anyone without video?

I guess I have to wait for a race to hear anything worth listening to.

I have lost the connection altogether. Muted the computer for the 90 minute Blue Angel show. Came back and nothing. Bummer

I see what you mean. I try now, and I get "Windows Media Player is unable to connect to the server".

Maybe someone saw my comment and is trying to fix the sound quality (heh-heh...yeah, right).

that server, or the audio equipment feeding it went TU about 12-20 mins ago.

I called RARA/NCAR and they are on it.
Give them some time equipment is in several locations

Re: Can you listen to the air races on line?

I've been listening to the RARA internet radio broadcast all week.

( or click link on left side of airrace.org )

If your Windows Media Player says '...cannot connect to the server...', follow these steps...

                  1. Start Windows Media Player.

                  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.

                  3. Click the Network tab.

                  4. In the Proxy Settings section, double-click the protocol that you want to configure.

                  5. The default proxy setting is Use browser proxy settings. Change this setting to 'Autodetect proxy settings'

                  6. Click OK.

You should be good to go.
Press play or close player & click on the link from RARA again

If you're on a Mac, Quicktime and Windows Media players seem to work OK.
