  • Radio station for air race broadcast?

Anybody know what the radio station number is that you can listen to in your car near Stead for the air race broadcast? 99.7 comes to mind, but I tend to forget from year to year.

    Thanks,

    Tom

I emailed RARA a couple of weeks ago with the same question. They replied that they plan on broadcasting again but didn't have the freq. yet. Stated that it would be available at the info. booth just inside the main gate.

Understandable - We'll just do a scan when we get close, but at least I know they're continuing to broadcast. Thanks for taking the initiative and finding out that info.

Thank you, Bless you! Not only will the buns be freed, I can almost guarantee they'll be hot, or at least warm! (Courtesy of the Weather Channel)

Could be these buckaroos at 98.1

Maybe on the weekend they'll do race coverage; when I tuned them in on Friday, they were yaking with the sounds of the Unlimited Silver heat going in the background. Supposedly they stream too, so if they get their act together they might put something useful on the air

                  Probably not 98.1

The usual race FM broadcast range is short, carries only a few miles away from the track, and cannot be heard in Reno, and possibly not even in Lemon Valley. We lose it heading into town around the time we pass Scolari's.

If Kbul DOES carry it this year, please let us know.

OK, they were probably just doing a remote. Too bad! I couldn't get the airrace.org signal to work either.

I've been listening to the RARA internet radio broadcast all week.

( or click link on left side of airrace.org )

If your Windows Media Player says '...cannot connect to the server...', follow these steps...

                      1. Start Windows Media Player.

                      2. On the Tools menu, click Options.

                      3. Click the Network tab.

                      4. In the Proxy Settings section, double-click the protocol that you want to configure.

                      5. The default proxy setting is Use browser proxy settings. Change this setting to 'Autodetect proxy settings'

                      6. Click OK.

You should be good to go.
Press play or close player & click on the link from RARA again

Wrong broadcast. We're discussing the FM radio signal, not the internet version. Thx anyway.
