It is quite possible that we all watched the most perfect lap ever flown at Reno today! Power did not seem to be up that high, yet, there was the speed..

Geez, Wayne, I wasn't there but that's dang near disrespectful to the laps flown by select others in the past!

That was probably the cleanest lap I have seen in years! Fast and down in a tight groove. Nice work!No pics tho as all the Ramp Media were standing in the way of the unlimiteds...

                    Re: Tuesday updates

The kid is real fast in a couple of spots. I mean he's good all the way around but, there are two spots he flies differently (better) than anybody else I've seen. It almost looks unorthodox up close but when you look at the big picture, it's the right line to fly.

Major bummer if Dan burned a piston.

                    Couple shots from Tues.

                        Re: Tuesday updates

I took a long time friend who has cancer to reno yesterday and memories of past visits brought a huge smile to his face. You couldn't have asked for a better day on the ramp. Great weather the most amount of unlimiteds I've seen at one time on the ramp to head out and qualify and all quality planes and pilots. Strega was on a rail, what a stick, OUTSTANDING Here's to a safe and fast week to all can't wait till sunday.

                          I don't see your reasoning..

                          I said "quite possibly"...

If someone does something really well, maybe better than anyone before them, and you give them a pat on the back. How is that "disrespectful" to anyone? ALL of the pilots there were smiling, they respect Stephen, he's amazing and they know it. I doubt any of them resent him in any way...

You have done a wonderful thing my friend! I could not make the long journey in '04, as I was right at the end of my treatment...

                            Prayers for your friend!

Sorry Leo, yesterday was special in that it was Stevo's first official timed lap. We were clustered out there a bit thicker than usual! Believe it or not, most of us who are honored each year and allowed to be "ramp media" are keenly aware of the visual blockage we present by being there. Our "job", if you will, is to be there to record the moment, up as close as we can get.. We also have a "deadline" in that we have to retreat to the actual "prop line" whenever a prop turns..

Sorry for being in the way, I personally seldom go out onthe ramp, yesterday was special.
