  • T-6 Owner in need of prayers...

    Hey all,

Annie Kawasaki, the wife of Clyde Kawasaki and team owners of the T-6 racer Abracadabra was thrown from her horse yesterday morning and was hurt pretty bad. Here's the quote from Clyde "Annie got thrown from her horse on Mana Rd this morning. Had to be helicoptered to NHCH and into emergency surgury. Internal bleeding, broken bones, collapsed lung, ruptured spleen and who knows what else. Expected to make a full recovery." For those of you that know them, you know that they are super people, so send out those thoughts and prayers.

A more recent update from Clyde, "Annie's looking and feeling better today. In alot of pain but nothing drugs can't take of. Wish she share! More tests today and tomorrow will show if there is or isn't any more damage. Horse is in really DEEP Kim Chee now!"

I'll post more updates as Clyde provides them.

Hang in there Annie, you are in our thoughts and prayers!!

    Lonnie

Left to right...John the pilot and his wife, Clyde and Annie the oweners.

Sounds as if Annie is on the mend, that's great news. Clyde and I met years ago when he would occasionally ride our jump seat between SFO and HNL on the L-1011, he is one of my favorite people at Reno. My very best to Annie for a quick and complete recovery.
One of our horses ran over the top of my wife last year during feeding for no apparent reason. You can never know what and when a horse will spook.

It's a longer story but let's just say, she'd rather see a six pack on my tummy than IN my tummy....

She's one of the sweetest and nicest ladies out there, why she has anything to do with Wayners...anybodies guess.

I just talked to Clyde and Annie is doing great so far. She's still in ICU, but the outlook is good. Clyde isn't sure when or if he'll make it to Reno, but the team will cary on. His being here will depend on what the doctors have to say over the next few days. So far the plans are for him to get into town next weekend. The power of prayers and positive waves are truely amazing. He broke the rules by talking to me, he was in the room with her with I called.

                    Good morning to all,

Got an update from Clyde on Annie...

"Annie's doing way better today. Tubes are all out and only a couple of IV's left. Moving about a bit but the ribs are still a problem....Surgeon says she's a tough cookie-that's from putting up with me for 25+years....Watta gal!"

The power of positive waves, happy thoughts, and prayers are working wonders.

Hey DB...that's sure a purty painting. Great work!!

"I'm Happy-Happy! Annie comes home tomorrow afternoon. Doesn't even look like she's had a near death experience...."
