  • Furias keeping strange company

Checked in with our friends at the Furias camp and found the beast hibernating quietly... though keeping some unusual company....

(BTW, the blue tail behind Furias is a de Havilland Comet. One of about 8 left in the world and another truly amazing machine of its time...)

Hello Kraz, why is the Furias over at the restoration hanger?

      262 and other stuff

I suspect that Furias is at the Restoration center because Bill has his Folke-Wolfe in the hanger. W/ the new engine in Furias and as much work as they did last year, I suspect that it will be a fairly quiet summer for them.

I did get to see the ME-262's. Simply Awesome! What an incredible undertaking and the one that they are currently doing engine runs on (w/ anticipation of a flight late spring/early summer) looks amazing. I was able go through the shop and walk all around it adn talk to the folks there. However, they are being extremely tight on NOT letting any photos out. I am working that angle though... so stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed!
