      Is this correct?

Yea, although it may be a Rolls. It says Packard on the side of the plane, doesn't it? I just took that off Wikipedia. I don't know exactly what kind of engine it is.

With this statement "Heavily Race Modified", the declared 3800hp engine
and J. Leeward at the controls, GG is a serious contender.
How I hate not to be in Reno to see it. Beautiful machine

Packard built Merlins for Rolls-Royce under license, didn't they. I'd assume it's the same motor.

Damn, The ghost looks like a winner. Wicked!

As I understand it Packard made a lot of improvements to the Rolls Royce design making it easy to manufacture/assemble.

I was given a seies of articles a few years ago about the Packard Merlins, written in a Packard car collectors magazine. Although a little glorified, obviously written by an extreme Packard fan, they are extremely detailed breakdowns of all they did to improve it, from materials to processes. Fascinating stuff!
I sure look forward to that airframe on the course again!!!

Am I missing anything? I was looking for some pics. I see the illustrations (which look awesome), just wondering if we all have to wait to see the real deal. I'm borderline giddy with anticipation to see it.

PS- If there was a sticker that was that profile illustration, I would buy two.
