  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY! - BILL EBERHARDT

'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' wishes go out today to- BILL EBERHARDT!

Bill turns 42 today & most fans know he's a seasoned air racing pilot in both the T-6 & UNLIMITED Classes.

The Eberhardts are an aviation family & true blue members of the air racing community. They've been involved since 1988 when dad- Stu Eberhardt first entered their family's beautiful polished P-51D #22 MERLIN'S MAGIC at Reno & consistently return most every year to race both the Mustang & their well-groomed T-6- #30 ARCHIMEDES, to the delight of their team's many loyal fans.

Bill started at Reno '92 by qualifying T-6 #12 Screamin' Demon & then gained considerable experience racing Sixes w/brother-Jim. At Reno '98 NCAR, Bill joined the Unlimited Class ranks by sharing Mustang racing chores w/his dad flying MM, and snagged a 5th-place finish in the UNLTD GOLD at Reno '02 @ 412.723-av/mph.

These days, Bill & Stu still share Mustang race pilot duties, while Jim handles the T-6 racing.

Bill, we all hope you have a great time celebrating your special day w/your wonderful family & many friends. Thanks for demonstrating your fine flying skills out on the racecourse & for your family's dedication & efforts over the years on behalf of 'The World's-Fastest Motorsport'. The Eberhardts have always been an inspiration & remain as one of air racing's true- 'class acts'. BIG THANKS TO YOU ALL!

P.S. BTW- The racing shot is actually Stu flying MM, in last September's Fri. UNL HT-2C, edging-out Bob Odegaard's #57 Super Corsair for the heat win @ 369.389-av/mph, over Bob's close 369.288-av/mph second-place. (Awesome race - couldn't resist)
