  • Chino Pics Saturday

Somebody forgot to tell the crowd we're in a bad economy. The place was packed. The Grummans (5 Bearcats, 3 Tigercats, etc.) were great, the Horsemen were great, Dennis Sanders was great, Steve Hinton was great...you get the picture.

Speaking of which, sorry my skys are 17 different colors. I had to use DPP for the first time ever and was trying to figure out what the controls do as much as anything. Enjoy.

Good to see Will and Race 33 representing Santa Rosa Air Racing down south.
Argo sure looks like she's having fun after a time in the garage.

Actually, Brian was flying the Sea Fury Saturday, according to his father in law on the mic- Sandy Sanders.

Oops, my bad. Never really heard the PA system all day. That was fine with me though, the speakers weren't in the way of taking photos this year.

The Green Hornet flew Argo during the Korean war demo, which lead to one of the funniest things I herd on the scanner Sunday...

AirBoss: Mark, we're late getting the F-86 up. Do you mind making four or five more passes?

                Mark: Oh Bummer... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

                AirBoss: That's what we thought!

It's ok and this is actually deja vu for me. I actually told Sandy right in the middle of the routine once that Brian was flying the airplane (it was 924-) Dennis was flying. I was a young idiot then- can't believe I did that. Really long time ago and it wasn't at Chino.

It was particularly confusing when they had three planes in the pits, Dennis and Brian werent sure who was flying what
