So I was scudrunning over Concord on my way back to Livermore when what do I see. 2 Vipers scudrunning right over walnut creek. They were going north when I saw them, anyone know anything about why they were here?

And what looked like an F-5 spotted east to west Oakland pattern over Orinda on both tuesday and thursday.
And then an F-18 was spotted following the Sacramento River east, on thursday afternoon near Martinez.
I chocked it up to "Obama in the hood"!
I used to see military aircraft over the east bay, all the time. But since Palosi, Dellums, Boxer, Miller, Fienstein, Maxeen Watters, and others, decimated the military a few years back... it's usually only the coast guard patrolling the Bay and River systems a couple times a day....
But "keep watching the skies", they are out there...Comment

Fresno ANG was my first guess. I have shared the airspace several times in the bay areal with military friendlies, it was weird to see them below the cloud layer over residential areas.Comment
