  • SPITFIRES IN FLIGHT

If you just happen to love seeing warbirds fly this short 9min movie will make you smile. Bit hokey but fun. Looks like the planes may have come out of Chino.

    Enjoy

Noted John Maloney was the other Spit pilot, and Steve's brother- John Hinton was one of the production's pilots too. Cute clip. I dunno about Malkovich snagging the stocking away though...

Two clipped-wing Spitfires together having some fun. Way Cool!!! THX, Cloudchaser!

        Re: SPITFIRES IN FLIGHT

oh yeah, clipped wing spitfires are way cool... though bringing out the notebook and spotter goggles.... one is a Mk XIVc and the other looks to be a late Mk IXc.... way to spot the differences, the XIV has the blistered cowls for the bigger griffon, also the longer spinner on the XIV and the Mk IX is a late production model with the pointed tail...
Although the Mk IX could also possibly be a Mk XVI which was the Mk IX with a packard Merlin under the cowls...
