  • Monday night observations

My friend who knows, says ther were six maydays today. Three in one AT-6 session...

I saw race 103, King Fury, what was left, after an apparent ground loop. The tailess, wingless carcass was stashed in a secured fenced area near the tower... It looked rebuildable... my buddy says it ground looped, I did not witness it. Apparently on Sunday.

I did not hear or see the Bear run today... not sure if it did. Possibly ran it about 7 pm, I heard something round, running briefly. New paint....makes the old girl look even more awesome.

Mike Brown's Stable looked formidable..Man, I wish I had his money! Every nut and bolt, on each of his planes.....spotless! BEAUTIFUL EQUIPMENT!

Weather was sunny, breezy, hi 80's,

RV lot filling fast this year.

    103 did not ground loop.

The engine quit while in flight and the aircraft had a hard encounter with the ground. So far that's all the details that are confirmed that I have heard.
