    3. Fri. 3/18/94 - Alan Preston taxis out #11 at the innaugural Phoenix 500 to win Bronze Heat-1B. Preston raced Miss A at Reno '92 & shared racing duties w/David Price during 1993 for new owner- Dr. Brent Hisey.

    3. Tue. 9/13/05 - A very rare shot of Miss America turning Outer 7 Pylon during #11's abbreviated sole course lap at Reno '05 during Doc's Q-run that was foiled by a blown race engine & forced a dramatic mayday landing. Note the redesigned paint scheme tail art.

Howie Keefe first raced #11 Miss America (N991R) at Reno '69 NCAR & this colorful patriotic Unlimited is a true world-renowned air racing icon, and always a fan favorite. BTW- Pilot Robert Heale also raced Miss A at Hamilton, CA. in 1988.

GO- RED-WHITE & BLUE!!! Happy 4th of July, racers, race teams & race fans! DBD

Thanks for the "Miss America" photos. To All: Have a Happy & Safe 4th of July weekend. Don't forget that the Freedom we enjoy wasn't free as most of the signers of the "Declaration of Independence" didn't fare so well.

You're very welcome, Bob, and a big- 'AMEN' to your right-on sentiments. We all owe much to the huge sacrifices made by countless great American heroes & heroines.

Just watched THE Greatest super fireworks display happen over the beautiful Emerald City of Seattle w/a perfect soundtrack. AWESOME celebratory display! BRAVO!!! DBD

        Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!!!

Wow.. big thumbs up to what everyone above has said and to Bucky for sharing the shots!!

Just got done watching the small town fireworks here at Long Beach (WA)... there are truly, MANY more personal fireworks set off here than there are set off by the city of..

I mean, for two hours before sunset, and it's still going on now, the entire 26 (or so) miles of this beach is aglow with "citizen" fireworks!

Brought special meaning to it this year.. for me, when you think about it, the PEOPLE of this country are what got it all started and make it great, then and today. We have a government, but it's still the PEOPLE who make it happen!

Tonight, watching all the 1000's of fireworks (really good ones) going up, all night long, reminded me of this!

Happy Birthday to all of us!
