yeah Thats the 2nd Most expensive Toy in the R/C Aircraft world behind Jets.

But You can start out small there are some smaller aircrafts that are only like a $200 that can get you started in the Airracing Business, Not only that they fly really nice too, simple to fly. but Looking at that Video you posted, looks like it the larger scale planes aren't to forgiving on landing... I think I'll stick to my 3D Stuff with my 50cc Aeroworks Extra 260

The concept is very cool, biggest thing I took away from it, is for not much more you could have a real Formula and be running around at reno

Looks like some of my attempted landings back when I had a couple of RC planes...but they was nothing like that.

Learning from those videos..I had to add 10 % rudder ( vertical stabilizer ) area to my small twin plans.

You know, the R/C club rc38pilot (Jim) and I belong to host two pylon races a year... and they are a BLAST! Ours is nothing like the one shown in the video though, we mostly use inexpensive (reletivily speaking) .46 sized aircraft with the most popular being the World Models .46 warbirds, but for the most part it's a run what you brung. Our rules; 100 laps with one mandatory fuel stop... simple and FUN.

Pics from the last race can be seen HERE.
