  • New,Old Crow flies

Sunday at about 2:40 west coast time Mustang pilot Dan Martin pulled the gear handle as Jack Roush's newest Mustang "Old Crow" was airborn at Salinas Cal. airport. Art Teeters and the gang at Cal-Pacific Airmotive did a fine job as P-51C N551E looks perfect. The flight was sucsessful and Dan landed about twenty minutes later. Who would of thought we'd see as many razorback Mustangs as there are now.Roush's C model look's very cool with it's Malcolm hood canopy.

He should race that thing. Crow vs Polar Bear in the Bronze!

More possibly a Heritage Trophy contestant.

Either way, hope to see it in September.

        One minor correction. It's a "B" model, not a "C". I know, they're the same...

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but just read on another site that Steve
Hinton took N25Y (White Lightnin) up for its first post-restoration fight
last week. The report also stated that Red Bull "EVENTUALLY" plans to base it in Austria. Hopefully this may mean that it could be displayed at some stateside shows before making the trip across the pond.

The talented team at Cal-Pacific Airmotive have turned out a real jem with this particular Mustang build. I have been following this project since it was delivered at Art's. The Malcolm Hood is very unique to both the Mustang line and this aircraft. From day one of the project, Jack Roush made it clear he wanted to incorporate the Malcolm Hood into the build-up. The new Old Crow looks absolutely stunning and she looks like a highly detailed model in the pictures I have.
Do not look for her to make it to Reno as Jack Roush will be taking his new Mustang to Oshkosh and and probably the Michigan Airshow once the required flying hours have been accomplished.
