    Looks like rest of the world might have a "Mine Shaft Gap". That's a Dr. Strangelove referance Ryan if you haven't seen it it's worth a rent.

            That wasn't a V-2, it was a modified SM-3, I think.

                Yes, the Raytheon Standard Missile -3 (SM-3). Amazing how they took three missiles and modified them in short order for this one-time mission.

                Also, the Sea-Based X-band radar, which was also designed and built by Raytheon, tracked the satellite prior to the missile engagement and performed the hit assessment afterward.

                Go Raytheon engineers and GO AMERICA!!!!!!!!

                  My mistake. It sure looks like a V-2 to my uneducated eye.
