  • Bob Guilford Photo Archive

    Well....

After an inordinate amount of procrastination, distraction and occasional inebriation, I've finally managed to scan, archive and establish an on-line archive of photographs taken by my father - Bob Guilford.

So far, I've got over 500 pictures of various warbirds, racers and people posted online for your viewing pleasure, work distraction, reality escape etc. etc.

Sorry, but I didn't notice that the scanner was on high-resolution until it was too late.

I hope you all enjoy the images.

I have more stuff to go through so stay tuned !!!

      Steve,
Many, many thanks for making this effort. I'm always eager to see the earlier history of the racers.

Speedy, Hacker, and a few other ramp rats need to add names and places to these fantastic pictures.

                      Priceless!

BTW, Daryll's team had to know that this wouldn't work:

                      Rutan Long EZ, N-LONG
                      World Speed Record Holder

Just wanted to add to the accolades. It is very gratifying to find someone like Steve, not only willing to preserve the very colorful history of air racing, but also to take the time and effort (I know that scanning all those images was a major task) to share those images of the past will us all. Seeing all those racers from the 60's has really made my day! Three Cheers!!!
