Years ago had several friends that did ASW/ Patrol duty in PV2s, Did not realize for heaps of time how unique these planes and the final "tweak" on the motors (engine turbos, jet engines and even nuke torpiedos, etc etc )seemed to the "wow" a/c used in the 50s or even the late 60s to gather intelligence.

the internet shows variants getting past the 4,000 + hp mark.... my friends called the extended mission capable PVs "the bitch" because it was such long, tough duty.
How do the ratings of race 77 and the other "gold" class racers compare to the maxed out 3350s that were used at "military" ?METO? power settings.

PS.... guestimation on the 3KM runs years ago.... any guess on the Race77 nitrous runs and H.P. power made at that time?
