I believe they are corrected for penalties before being posted. That was the situation with Relentless and Nemesis in the Sport class results the other day. And guys who cut the deadline are shown as DQ'd.

On this race, I wonder where Will and Steadfast were? The ran the Bronze on Thurs. and came in 2nd ahead of Big Bossman. Maybe they took the option to "upgrade" to the Silver? I think 1st and 2nd place can take that option for the next heat.

This morning I saw the Super Corsair at the east end of the runway, about 10 am or so. It was parked with a couple of vehicles around it...

The Super Corsair was parked in the pits all afternoon right next to the NAG shack (directly across from Rare Bear)

I can only speak from knowing Ron and his family situation, coupled with what I know about RARA and their support of the movie and Ron.

Ron had his airplane spotted down at the end of the runway for a while today for some promotional photography for a RARA sponsor.. I seriously doubt that he's been DQ'd....

If he, indeed, has retired from racing early, it would, more likely, be due to the tragedies this week and his respect for his wife's wishes and his dedication to his family...

This is a very risky sport...

Sometimes, very difficult decisions have to be made, I suspect, Ron has made an extremely difficult one and has moved his planned retirement up by two days.

I will say (via edit) that looking through my memory loop... it did seem that the last race we watched Ron fly, he appeard to blow the deadline significantly.. if that were the case, then an auto DQ would, indeed, be the "penalty"... Deadline cuts are always an automatic trip home... no exceptions.. Don't have the actual facts.. sorry.. but... If a DL cut is the case.. no harm no foul on him being DQ'd if that's the case..
