Then pull down the tabs for any class, number, or pilot you want.

Under "year" pick 2007, then click "retrieve records"

Hmmmm..... This must have been an aborted run:

Pilot Name: Penney, John Aircraft: Rare Bear - Race 77 Type: F8F-2 Bearcat
        Time: 01:37.247 Speed: 313.933 Place: 22

But hey, its faster than Air Biscuit! (barely)

So is Race 23 a Bearcat or (as listed) a Sea Fury?

RARA has the "Bear" listed as quoted,313.933 & "Strega" as 000.000. Whats up?

Um, maybe the "Bear" put up numbers to "get in the show" and Strega hasn't qual'd yet??

                Re: Qualifiing Speeds

It would be my best guess that they were just loafing around the course. Remember, the engine is new with almost no time on it and needs some run in time before they lean on it.

Actually, I believe this engine has some time on it as it is the one that came out of Critical Mass. According to the conversations I had with some of the Dwelles a few years back this is a very strong runner.

                    Hey Mike
                    This should answer the question.

It's great to see 3 stockers and "Da Bear" on the tarmac. The new guys look every bit as good as Howard Pardue's Bearcat, and they're cooking right along too.

Ray Dieckmans #224 "Blue Bear" and Dave Morss flying "Tempus Fugit II"

                    Cheers
