Unlimited Sport Class Questions??

I know, I'm not always in the proverbial loop, so here it goes.....

What's going to be the purpose of the new Unlimited Sport Class?? I mean, the Unlimited class is open to any piston powered aircraft, right? We've seen "homebuilts" in the Unlimiteds before. Would the new Unlimited Sport Class have lower minimum speed requirements? I guess my question is why don't they just enter into the existing Unlimited class.

Any clarification would be appreciated...

sport class is also limited buy things like nos
mostly its the wieght from what i hear
