John Parker and "Blue Thunder" were involved in an accident at Stead late this afternoon.

John is uninjured, and will be making a statement soon.

In order to keep speculation to a minimum, it has been requested by the "Blue Thunder" team that we do not post any photos or anymore information on the accident here at AAFO until John Parker and the crew make their statement. Randy Goss

There's a long shot of the wreckage and a video report on the KTVN site at KTVN
Definitely major damage. Glad John is OK. Sad for Blue Thunder, I've enjoy rooting for her.

                        Randy,

Thanks beyond belief for stepping in and putting your efforts into this thread!

The blessing here is, that John Parker is OK...

The awfull truth is that John and his team's efforts have just "gone up in smoke"..

                        John Is OK...

                        Pysically, that is.,

John Parker is an AIR RACER!

Part of him died on that runway today....

o man, thats real bad news to lose Blue thunder, but to echo the sentiments of every other poster, its good to hear that John is OK, and Wayne, you are right part of John died out there, That is such a shame for the sport class in general

Just another note.... To John and his associates, this could not be any worse than losing a dear child...

                            Please..

Don't post any links to photos that show "Blue" in any less than the light that those who built and loved her would want to see her in!

Well Tim and all.. here's the deal on all this. When you have an airplane, such as "Blue Thunder" where one guy and several others have given their all to make it "happen"....

When something happens that takes that "child" away from her parents...

There is a great and I mean GREAT deal of sadness!

                              So...

How'd you like to see your daughter who died in a fire on the net??

                              Get my point?

I think we air race fans owe John Parker a debt of "THANK YOU" SOMEHOW!!!!!

                              But..

                              We're not, quite, there yet!
