Jet class rules?

I was in Hollister yesterday and saw some things. Does anyone know what the rules are regarding mods that are allowed on the Jet class?
I've seen pics of pipsqueak at PRS with it's wingtanks removed.

I would think that would be allowed, since the class is now open to other airframes and not one fixed configuration.
