  • Pola Filter Attach to 100-400IS

How have you alll been attaching the polarizer to the lens and been able to rotate it with the lens hood ?
I know I can cut slices out of the side of the hood, but that seems stupid with the lens being such a cheap one
    \Thanks

Don't use filters and never will, only exception is landscape photography.

I just use a Heliopan UV filter (they use Zeiss glass). It may degrade my pictures very very slightly but my problem with bad pictures is more with me than the equipment. I would much rather replace a $50 filter than spend much more sending it off to Canon should something bad happen. Just my opinion.

Camera store sells you a nice, expensive lens then tells you that you need to spend more money to buy a filter to protect it as they show you a lens with broken glass. I threw away the filters that I did buy and get a kick out of the look on the face of the camera store people when I buy a new lens and tell them that I don't want a filter on it. I like the pictures I get now.

28 days before I'm at Reno. When you showing up Tim?

That's the day I'm thinking of too.

Who else is going to be there then?
