  • Thunder Mustang Pilot Has Eyes Set On The Record Book

    Passing on a little news.

The 100km closed course speed record for class C-1c aircraft has been on the books for more than 30 years, but it’s about to be blown out of the sky, if John Parker has anything to say about it.

    Go John Go!

Stevo, you gonna make it out for that?
I don't know if I will this time, It's so close to PRS I'm not sure if I can take off that much time for both...

No, I'm not going to make it out. Not going to be there for PRS either I'm moving from OK back to CA in August and it's just too close, need to save a bit of money and use the time to get things in order here for the move.
I WILL be in Reno in Sept... even if I have to go AWOL well... I won't go quite that far.

I don't know how many folks truly take John Parker seriously enough! He's like the Eveready Bunny of Air Racing... He just keeps going and going and going and I don't mean by any means that he's "old"...

He just soldiers on in silence getting stuff done to his airplane.

He's an innovator, a fierce competitor, loyal friend... truly, one hell of a guy!

Bout time that HE got some more publicity regarding the Sport Division...

Last time he did a speed record, he ran Nitros.. that was when the stuff wasn't legal in Sport and also, before supercharging the Falconer... hummn.... I could tell you what he told us about it last time down for a visit but then he'd have to kill me and we don't want that!

GONNA pay more attention to the guy this year tho!
