Nice pics! Have to admit that Red Bull and the Navy really know how to represent at airshows! Check your PM's

Wow...I actually think that the Shrimp Boat in Red Bull colors looks sweet....especially with the observation bubble where the radar snout should be.

Now see...if White Lightnin' were painted like that, I think it would look very cool.

That would be a replica of an NA-64--a single seat version of the T-6 that was pitched as a fighter.

I think the only 'real' one is with the EAA...but it actually has an air racing history. I believe it was entered in the 1968 Trans-con race by Karl Koening.

Is that John Shoffner's Albatross in the Red Bull scheme?

Would the original Precious Metal look good in those colors too? It may look good but should it be done?

If PM were mine, and Red Bull were footin' the bill? Hell yeah!

That would be a North American P-64. Essentially, a single seat fighter version of the T-6/SNJ-5. I think only a few were made for export to Asia back in 1939 or so. I think SpeedDemon is right about it being a replica but, it sure looked nice up close.

I have more pics to post in the next coupel of days...

Sorry, my bad, by the way. I thought it was an NA-64, but it was an NA-68...redsignated as a P-64. And the only original left is with the EAA.

But you'd make sure they would leave that "Prospector" on the nose cowling, right?

Yeah, but he'd probably be holding a can of Red Bull in his hand instead of the solid gold Mustang.

Friends don't let friends paint kelp down the side of their airplane.....

If Joe Kasparoff were still around, I'll bet he'd have some racer on the ramp, and it would say something to the effect of "Mr. Awesome (Healer, Believer, Dreamer, etc.) for a Kelp-Free America".
