Steve Hinton Jr soloed in a P-51D Mustang in Chino California. Young Steve is 19 years and 7 months old... making him the youngest Mustang pilot in the world! (Steve's Dad... soloed a Mustang at 19 years 8 month... Young Steve beat him... something his dad is very proud of).

When did Corky Fornoff solo? I know he "stole" his dad's T-6 and soloed himself and I saw him fly an airshow in a F-51 when he was 19.
