Re: Glacier Girl Day at Chino

A couple of mags have written that she is being prepared to fly along her original route that was being taken to Europe so long ago, so that the plane can complete its misson of getting to Europe...and be seen in Europe. I am unsure which of the stacks of magazines I have that I saw it in.

They are going to complete the journey that she started in WWII.

The big question is.....will she be coming back to the states afterward?

Probably, since it has just been sold to Rare Bear's new owner!

I wonder what the odds are of it pitching up at Reno for the RR Heritage-thingy?

If the new owner were to bring his Corsair and the GG for the RR Heritage-thingy, they would get 1st and 2nd for sure.

When I stuck the little blurb about GG being in Rod Lewis' stable last month, I neglected to include that they were planning on completing the route that the airplane had not finished during the war...

A VERY historic flight to be sure!

She will be coming back and will live under Rod's care.
