  • P-51 H specs ?!

I have found really very different specs for the P-51H in the net.

Is the span 11,28 meters and lenght 10,16 meters...this info was in the very neatly done norwegian Wikipedia ?

Thanks Ryan this was even better than the norwegian.

In case you wonder why I am interested...I am starting a long time inside my head wandered idea of a really small R/C piston model with operational landing gear.

I have recently found 99% scale wheels and ( 15 years ago in a model fair ) 0,049 size russian made Stels 2-stroke rear exhaust engine ( uses a similar size Cox glow head ) with a throttle control + 50 ml fuel tank. I have 10 years ago made plans for a 1/12 scale combat H-model...and guess what ?

I am off to do a 1/16 scale P-51H. I should be at around 1 lbs and 63,5 cm ( 25 inches ) long with 70,5 cm span ( 27,8 inches ). I have got enough practise with the Hanriot gear that I can now make my own operational struts for the Mustang.

I have to make room for the baby and clear the room of the enermous amount of building material of the Hanriot H 232.2. Besides it needs a lot more planning before it can advance..as does the H-model too.

        later,

        Juke

Isn't that the thingy on the side of your house that lies about how much electricity you rent from the power company?

I thought it was 39" or about 3.1 feet? I don't speak Euro either, but I have to work with countries which do.

                  1 meter = 3.280 839 895 feet

3.1 feet would be 37.2 inches.

That's why I failed in math. I was thinking one yard, plus about ten percent.

What the heck kind of motor is that? It looks like an .049, but smaller.
