Just checked Extended Stay America for a room for this year. They have gotten real proud of their rooms (like everyone else in Reno). They now want $105 a night for the whole week.

It was about $160 to park the RV out front of the main gate in the field for the whole week....we won't discuss what gas cost to get it there though...ha ha...

You're looking at the "suite" which is a big bed and a sleeper sofa... the weekly rate for the queen with no sofa sleeper (I'm not actually sure if the sofa does not pull out... but you could sleep on it regardless) is still about $84 for the weekly rate.

Considering you get a full kitchen (SMALL) and fridge (also small) so you can save a ton on eats for the week... as well as making it a lot harder to spend your $$ at the casinos.. The Extended Stay week still is a good deal.

Last year, it was an ESPECIALLY good deal if you booked really early, as it was only about $60 a night.

All things considered, I'd probably rather stay at a big high rise with a nice bar, good restaurants and a lot of night life... but in reality... I'll be 56 by the time I'm at Reno again (can you believe that!) and I don't really need the drain on my well being of "night life".. not that staying south of town stopped me in year's past..

I'm actually getting pumped... we're months away but it's suddenly nice weather up here in the great white north and it's starting to feel a lot like Reno!!!!!
