  • Mojave spy shot?

    Was perusing a fairly new picture hosting site dedicated to aviation and ran across the following photo (1 of 2 actually) that I thought may be of interest to some folks. I certainly had not see any pics as recent as these, taken on 9-16-06.

              Dang autofocus. You'd think it would have enough sense to know the photographer wanted to get the airplane!

              Great to see it running though. Fingers crossed for an '07 debut.

                        Homebuilders pace?
                        Pretty sure the sport class is the fastest growing class and they are all homebuilders. You will see more inovation and improvement of the breed in those homebuilt airplanes than the modified factory stuff. Don't forget the F1 class either.

                          I may be out in left field, but I seem to remember someone mentioning at Reno this year that one of the 2006 racers started on his plane right after Reno 05. That is a fast build.
