I wish our Colts could play with that much daring, abandon, and heart. It was a treat to watch. Some call them 'trick plays'. I say that's good football!
Yep, them "trick" plays (that have been around as long as football) will get you everytime. Did you catch the grin on Bob Stoops' (Sooners Coach) face when Boise out foxed them with the Statue of Liberty?
I think I enjoyed watching the faces of the fans during the last few minutes of the game....elation to dejection to elation to total heartbreak to (whatever side of the coin you were on).
AW Shucks Brad, (big toe scuffing the dirt in semi circles), it tweren't nuthin'. I had complete faith. It was certainly the best game I remember in recent history. But all I did was cheer them on, drink some beer, cheer some more, drink some more beer, then near the end when they intercepted that pass, I about fainted. But then I stood up from my prone position on the floor, (not sure if it was the beers or the swings in momentum, HAH!) and called Coach Pete and told him "Plenty of time , man." Guess he took it to heart. It will go down as a classic at the very least. It has to. And thanks to everyone who cheered on my Broncos. GO BSU! You Rock!
As an ex-Bronco (2002), I will admit, I cried at the end of the game (I was there!!!) I must say that our boys got it right this year but it was truely the proudest moment of my life. All of the sweat and tears that us ex's had put into the program culminated Monday night. Coach Pete got it right when he said that this season has roots back to Lyle Smith. Every season prior to this season has built the foundation for this year. It was truely a "Great day to be a Bronco!" For all of you out there who supported us, THANKS, and for all of you who need a new team to root for, look in Boise. GO BRONCOS!!!
I'm not sure I'll go quite that far having been present for "The Play" when Cal "ruined" John Elway's "whole college career" But... that was one hell of a game. I really enjoyed it. thanks Broncos.
