Victor, I love this stuff! Got a question for the geeks: what's the deal with this C-123 with floats on the wings, not to mention the 4-blade props?

I'm going to take a shot at that, could it be the YC-123E?
After a little more searching, yes, it is the YC-123E.

No pictures..... but
Circa 2002, sitting at a stop light in the middle of silcon valley.... mid point between Moffett field and San Jose A/P....
Minding my own business... waiting for the light to turn green in my car...
I hear a sound....
"Gee me sez... there aint no freight trains chugging away in or around Sunnyvale..."
More sound.... getting louder
More sound.... i cant hear my frickin radio
Where is the freight train... right next to Googles world headquarters???????
Screw the traffic light, i get outta my car and look up!!!!
In all its glory was a DC7 fereighter chugging away.... 4 turning and zero burning 200 feet up
Stayed in the intersection and watched the beast in a slow assent heading south.
HEY.... THERE STILL OUT THERE
