  • Anybody know what this is?

A co-worker of mine did a tour in Afghanistan a couple of years ago. While out on patrol one day they came upon a boneyard of MIGs. He hopped in a cockpit of one and grabbed a couple of souvenirs. He doesn't know what this is or what model of plane it came out of. In his words, "We didn't stick around too long". Anybody got any ideas what this is?

Everybody knows in the (post?)Comunist world, the government dictates EVERYTHING! This is obviously the intervelometer for taking a Bravo Mike!
It seems they spent a lot of time in 'peace' setting of 3 and recently went to war setting of ZERO! That's why they have brown eyes!

Re: Anybody know what this is?

Clearly, it is an Oscillation Overthruster...

Not to be confused with a flux capacitor, wherein the flux capacitor is used in adjusting time and the Oscillation Overthruster is used in adjusting space... as in, moving between dimensions.

Victor, care to add anything to this discussion?

I thought about it but didn't figure I could manage getting the characters right...

So what'd you come up with?

I found an interesting site all about MIG's, but it was over my head. If someone has translated the words on the face of the part, they might find something here. (Looks like the selector goes from 0 to3??)
