Merlin's Magic update

I thought some of you would be interested in an update. The major repairs to the damaged fuselage are complete. The fuselage is out of the jig and the new aft ducting and new doghouse are being installed. The workmanship is absolutely beautiful. Mark, Jim, Denis and the whole crew at Gerry Beck's shop do incredible work. The completed fuselage should be ready for shipment back to NV late this week. Many repairs, overhauls and mods have been done to the hydraulic system, flight control system, canopy system and engine oil system. Based on availability of guys to complete the reassembly and engine installation in NV, first flight still looking good for early Dec.

That is really great news. Somehow I figured that it would take a lot longer to fix. Glad I was wrong.

Please give a shout when that flight date is narrowed down, and I'll do what I can to get out there with my camera.

Jim Eberhardt has been working on a web page for Merlins Magic. It isn;t complete but getting there. Those of you who wish to know about the plane, wish to donate to a worthy cause to see us up and flying at Reno 2007, please visit the site.
